Impression08 started this conversation

The Open Society Institute offers grants to individuals both nationally and internationally. Grants are typically up to $100,000 but may be higher. The awards can be used to promote open societies by supporting an array of activities dealing with educational, social, legal, and health care reform, and by encouraging alternative approaches to complex and controversial issues. Grants are national. Contact: Open Society Institute, 400 W. 59th Street, New York, NY 10019; (212) 548-0600; Fax: (212) 548-4600

Oh no, are you referring to the deadline on the writing contest that you had posted about? I have yet to check out the site you gave me for that contest, so have no clue as to dates, deadlines, etc.,....oh, I really hope that this is not the case!

Thank you, I will keep in touch, I am excited to have another "writer" to bounce ideas off of while "wading" through this process! Blessings, Brenna ~"catluv"

Thank you so very much for the reply and information. I am attempting to write my own book as well...although is sounds as if you are much further along than I. I am very interested to hear about the publishing process with your book and general experiences in the matter. That is, if you wouldn't mind keeping me updated. I am a newbie in the world of writing & publishing, and am just feeling things out. I saw your post about this contest and just thought that it would be a lovely thing to participate in, not to mention, a way to possibly make some money...which would be very nice indeed!

Thank you kindly for responding! Many blessings, Brenna ~"catluv"

Hello,

I am curious as to what exactly your message regarding 3,500 word essay details? I am assuming that this is some sort of competition? If you don't mind, would you fill me in on what, when, how, where, etc.? I am extremely interested in participating if this is a legit essay contest ... and if, and where these "winning essays" would be published, not to mention how they choose the winners. Are you a part of this program and how did you come upon this information? I really appreciate any details that you could provide!

Blessings, Brenna ~"catluv"
